Strategic convening that connects business leadership with UNICEF to advance outcomes for children.

At UNICEF Türkiye, I work at the helm of the Business Advisory Board (BAB), a strategic forum that brings together representatives from across Türkiye’s private sector, financial system and youth around a single question: What can we build together that none of us can build alone? The BAB is intentionally designed as a space where cross-sector insight and ambition meet, and where conversations evolve into shared direction. What happens in this room is not routine consultation; it is the slow, deliberate shaping of a collaborative culture around the future of children and young people.

Each gathering is crafted to unlock the Board’s collective intelligence. We explore emerging trends, green transitions, digital shifts, the future of work and examine how they intersect with UNICEF’s mandate. The structure is designed to encourage strategic thinking, candid exchange, and the kind of curiosity that leads to unexpected possibilities. When these dynamics align, something powerful happens; partners begin to see themselves as part of a common architecture rather than isolated actors.

A significant part of this work lies in making the invisible visible, surfacing the links between corporate strengths and systemic needs, translating UNICEF’s priorities into actionable opportunities, and revealing entry points where collaboration can grow. Over time, this approach has catalyzed partnerships across digital learning, employability skills, early childhood development, climate resilience, mental health, adolescent wellbeing. The Board has become a place where companies come not just to contribute, but to reflect, rethink, and reimagine what partnership can look like. What makes the BAB different is not the format but the quality of the space: its trust, its strategic clarity, its ambition. It is a room where members speak openly, where long-term commitments take shape, and where new alliances are quietly woven before they’re announced.

Supporting this process is about more than facilitation; it is about orchestrating context, connecting the right threads, and creating conditions in which collaboration becomes both natural and necessary. The result is a platform that continually renews itself, alive, adaptive, and collectively owned shaping how the private sector and UNICEF build the future together.
